YOKOZUNA LONG REACH BRAKESET
The brake reach range is 55mm to 73mm
These are fungible with the Tektro 559 brakes: Long reach sidepulls, dual-pivot, great clearance, power, and versatility on all of our sidepull bikes. Both are cold-forgedYou may want to know how they compared with the Tektro R599. Here goes:
Tektro Pros: Slightly better finish, slightly better brake pads.
Comment: Yoko finish is good enough; brake pads are replaceables, anyway.
Yoko Pros: Slightly easier to use quick-release, slightly better tire clearance.
Comment: The Tektro quick-release is plenty easy, and the improved tire clearance will matter only if you max out the tire size and try to put a fender in there, too. The Tektro has a spring loop that slightly crowds the fender or tire, and it is mostly a theoretical issue.
The Yokozuna is every bit at good as the Tektro, and it’s great to have one back-up the other.
Sold as a set (front and rear).
